NOOK helps your school’s support staff by providing a variety of services—from direct deliveries of essential items to funding that fuels kids’ goals in sports and academics.
The Essentials
Every child deserves to have their needs met in order to stay in school. That’s why NOOK provides families experiencing poverty and crisis with rapid access to food, clothing, hygiene products, eyeglasses, and gas cards.
NOOK Grants
Some needs are not necessary for every school day, but are invaluable for a student’s overall educational experience. Examples include fees for summer programs, funding for an orchestra trip or cheerleading competition, sports equipment, yearbooks, or tickets and apparel for special events like prom. After a NOOK school employee submits a grant application, a committee votes on whether to forward it to the Executive Board for final approval. Funds are paid directly to the vendor. Our grant program exists to support a childhood that meets the needs of the whole child.
College Scholarships
The NOOK has provided tens of thousands of dollars in college scholarships to students in the Franklin Special School District and the schools of Williamson County.
